Jesus Christ is God!

Religions like the Iglesia ni Cristo claims that Jesus isn't God but only a man, a normal man. They misunderstand verses so they can show other people that Jesus isn't God and only a man. One of the verses I know they use to proof that Jesus is not God is this...

 "As it is, you want to kill me when I tell you the truth as I have learnt it from God; that is not what Abraham did." - John 8:40 TJB

But hey, folks. What's the connection of that to Jesus' Divinity? There's none. They even use the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ to proof that He is not God. Yes folks, it's true that God doesn't have any beginning but that doesn't mean Jesus is not God. Let me ask you a question, will God let Jesus fall down from Heaven just to let people believe that Jesus is God? No, God wouldn't. Then this prophecy of the Prophet Isaiah will not become true...

"The Lord himself, therefore, will give you a sign. It is this: the maiden is with the child and will soon give birth to a son and whom she will call Immanuel." - Isaiah 7:14 TJB

Now let go back to the topic. Do I have any proofs that Jesus Christ is God? Yes, I do. Let's read first a very simple verse from the Gospel of St. John...

"In the beginning was the Word: the Word was with God and the Word was God." - John 1:1 TJB

The verse clearly states that the Word was God, right? Now, let's read another verse from the book of St. John again...

"The Word was the true light that enlightens all men; and he was coming to the world." - John 1:9 TJB

On the same Gospel,  Jesus describes himself as the light of the world (...I am the light of the world. - John 9:5 TJB). So, that's already a proof that Jesus is God. Now let's read two verses in one place from the Gospel of St. John...

"In the beginning was the Word: the Word was with God and the word was God. The Word was made flesh , he lived among us, and we saw his glory, the glory that his as the only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth." - John 1:1, 14 TJB

So, according to John 1:1 the word was God, then the Word was made flesh according to John 1:14. And according also to John 1:14 the Word (which is God) is the only Son of the Father. Then, who is the only Son of the Father? Let us read verses...

"Yes, God [The Father] loves the world so much that he gave his only son..." - John 3:16 TJB

In this verse, Jesus talks about Himself that He is the only begotten Son of the Father. What does St. Mark the Evangelist tells about the Lord Jesus Christ? Let's read...

"The beginning of the Good News about Jesus Christ, the son of God." - Mark 1:1 TJB

Saint Mark clearly mentioned in the verse that Jesus Christ is the son of God. Even the unclean spirits says that Jesus Christ is the Son of God...

"And the unclean spirits, whenever they saw him, would fall down before him and shout, 'You are the Son of God'" - Mark 3:11 TJB

Now we have another proof of Jesus Christ being God. Now, here's another proof that Jesus Christ is God.

Here are 2 straight verses that will tell you that Jesus Christ is really God...

"while we are waiting in hope for the blessing which will come with the Appearing of the glory of our great God and saviour Christ Jesus." - Titus 2:13 TJB

"From Simeon Peter, servant and apostle of Jesus Christ; to all who treasure the same faith as ourselves, given through the righteousness of our God and saviour Jesus Christ." - 2 Peter 1:1 TJB

Those two verses clearly states that Jesus Christ is God and saviour. Now I shown many proofs to you that Jesus Christ is God, just accept it because that is what the Bible says. God bless you :)
